CONSENT TO ELECTRONIC MARKETING
By accepting these terms and subscribing to Aalborg Håndbold’s newsletter, you consent to receive marketing materials by email and SMS from Aalborg Håndbold about Aalborg Håndbold’s products and services within handball, merchandise, and associated events.

You can withdraw your consent to receive marketing materials at any time.

WHAT INFORMATION IS COLLECTED ABOUT ME?
When you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address, your name, your IP address, and the time of your subscription—this is all we need to send you newsletters and to document that you have subscribed.

You can also choose to provide additional information so we can make your user experience even more personal.

We use the third-party service MailChimp to send our newsletters. Through your use of our newsletters, MailChimp collects additional information about you and about how you use our newsletters. This information includes, among other things, whether our newsletter is opened, how long the email remains open, when our newsletter emails are opened, whether and when links are clicked, and when the email is deleted again.

MailChimp also collects information about the device and applications you use to access the emails (newsletters) we send via MailChimp, e.g. your IP address, operating system, browser ID, and other details about your system and internet connection.

By accepting our terms, you also accept MailChimp’s Privacy Policy (available here) and their Terms (available here).

Please also note that if you click links in the newsletter to our website or to other websites, we or others may collect additional information about you if you accept the use of cookies on the website in question.

HOW IS MY INFORMATION COLLECTED?
In addition to the information you provide to us, the use of our newsletter via MailChimp involves cookies and other tracking technologies such as web beacons. By accepting our terms, you also accept that MailChimp may use cookies and other tracking technologies to generate the information described above. The specific use of cookies and web beacons is described in MailChimp’s terms.

WHAT DO WE USE YOUR INFORMATION FOR?
When you subscribe to our newsletter, we use your email address to send you newsletters, offers and other marketing material. We may also use your email address to send informational emails about Blue Fox or our newsletter. We use your name to personalise our material to you.

The information we collect about you and about the use of our newsletter via MailChimp is used to evaluate our email campaigns, to target our mailings to you, and generally to improve our service so we can better tailor future content to your interests.

We use your IP address and the time of subscription to document your consent to us.

Our processing is based solely on your consent, cf. GDPR Article 6(1)(a).

YOUR INFORMATION IS TREATED CONFIDENTIALLY AND SECURELY
We store your information confidentially and securely. We have implemented the necessary technical and organisational security measures to prevent your information from being accidentally or unlawfully destroyed, lost or impaired, and to prevent it from coming to the knowledge of unauthorised persons, being misused, or otherwise processed in breach of data protection law.

We use the MailChimp service to send newsletters. MailChimp is provided by The Rocket Science Group, LLC, based in Georgia, USA. MailChimp stores and processes personal data for us as a data processor, and we have entered into a written data processing agreement to ensure that your personal data is processed only according to our instructions, confidentially, and with the necessary security measures in place to prevent your information from being compromised.

Because MailChimp is based in the USA, by agreeing to these terms you expressly accept that the personal data you provide so that we can send you newsletters, as well as information we generate about your use of our newsletters, may be exported to and stored in the USA.

HOW OFTEN ARE NEWSLETTERS SENT?
We send our newsletter when we believe we have something important or new to tell you. The newsletter is not issued at fixed intervals, so the frequency may vary. However, we aim to limit the number so our newsletters do not overwhelm your inbox.

WE DO NOT DISCLOSE YOUR INFORMATION
We do not sell or disclose your information to others for commercial purposes.

YOU CAN ALWAYS EDIT OR CHANGE YOUR CONTACT DETAILS
You can change or correct your contact details and other information you have given us at any time, either by unsubscribing from the newsletter and then subscribing again, or from your user profile page, which you can access via the link at the bottom of every newsletter.

How to unsubscribe from our newsletter is described below.

YOU CAN ALWAYS OPT OUT OF FURTHER COMMUNICATIONS
You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time. Once you have unsubscribed, you will not receive further communications from us unless you have given other consent for us to contact you. We will, however, send you a confirmation that we have removed you from the recipient list for our newsletter, and we will then delete your email address from our newsletter recipient list.

You can unsubscribe by clicking the “Unsubscribe” link included in every newsletter you receive from us.

HOW LONG DO WE STORE YOUR INFORMATION?
We store and process your information for as long as you are subscribed to our newsletter. If you unsubscribe, we delete your information.

However, under the Danish Consumer Ombudsman’s guidelines, we must be able to document that those to whom we send newsletters have given consent. We are therefore obliged to keep this documentation for up to 2 years after we have used your consent to send newsletters. The information we keep is what we register at subscription, i.e. name, email address, IP address and the time of subscription. Other information is deleted immediately after you unsubscribe.

If you unsubscribe from our newsletter, all statistical data about your use of the newsletter is anonymised. The anonymisation is done in such a way that it is not possible to de-anonymise the information later.

YOUR OTHER RIGHTS UNDER DATA PROTECTION LAW
Under the GDPR, you have a number of rights in relation to our processing of information about you.

You have the right to access the information we process about you and various supplementary information.

RIGHT TO RECTIFICATION
You have the right to have incorrect information about yourself corrected.

RIGHT TO ERASURE
In special cases, you have the right to have information about you deleted before our general deletion takes place.

RIGHT TO RESTRICTION OF PROCESSING
In certain cases, you have the right to restrict the processing of your personal data. If you have the right to restriction, we may in future only process the information—apart from storage—with your consent, for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims, or to protect a person or important public interests.

RIGHT TO OBJECT
In certain cases, you have the right to object to our otherwise lawful processing of your personal data.

COMPLAINTS
